ALTERNATIVE FAMILY SUPPORT

Foster care services provide a safe and secure environment for people with disabilities who have been abandoned, neglected, or are homeless. This service provides temporary, planned substitute care for those who do not have a permanent home.

Foster care programs help individuals learn the skills they need to live independently in the future by providing access to education, vocational training, and therapeutic services. The goal is to provide a nurturing family environment that will help the individual develop emotionally and socially. These services can also help reduce dependence on institutionalized long-term care.

FAMILY COUNSELLING SERVICES

Nelson Community Aid provides counseling services to persons with disabilities (PWDs). Depending on their needs, they offer individual or family counseling sessions, both of which are tailored to the unique needs of each PWD.

The goal is to provide support and guidance to help them adjust and cope with their daily lives and challenges. They also work with PWDs to develop strategies for managing stress, anxiety and depression. Their counselors are experienced professionals who strive to make sure each session is beneficial for the client.

REFERRAL SERVICES

Government and non-government agencies play a crucial role in providing services and sustenance for people with disabilities. These services range from physical therapy, occupational therapy, surgical intervention to accessibility to public transport, business establishments and non-hazardous environments.

Such rehabilitation services are essential for those with disabilities to be able to live their life with dignity and independence. Additionally, there are also government initiatives that provide financial assistance to those who need it. It is important that these initiatives are made available in order for people with disabilities to gain the support they need and deserve.

PARENT EFFECTIVENESS SERVICE

BUSINESS COUNSELLING

Counselors are an integral part of many programs designed to help businesses with work-related and emotional support services. Counseling can provide a variety of resources to businesses and industries, including employee assistance programs and services, conflict resolution strategies, stress management techniques, team building initiatives, and more.

These counselling can also provide support for individuals who might be struggling in their current roles or environments. With these resources in place, businesses can ensure their employees are supported throughout the company’s journey.
